Customer Portal

The RapidDox customer portal at app.rapidlens.com is where you download the apps, manage your profile and password, set up two-factor authentication, manage subscriptions and billing for each RapidDox product, and view payment history.

The customer portal lives at app.rapidlens.com. It's a separate website from the RapidDox desktop apps — everything related to your account, your subscriptions, billing, and downloading the latest installers lives here.

Accessing the Portal

Log in at app.rapidlens.com with the email and password you set when purchasing. If two-factor authentication is enabled on your account, you'll be prompted for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app after entering your password.

Forgotten your password? Use the Forgot password link on the login page — the portal emails you a one-time reset link to set a new password.

Portal Layout

Once logged in, the portal has three navigation areas:

  • Sidebar — Home, New, and Settings.
  • Top header — License & Billing, News, and Support.
  • User menu (top-right) — Manage Profile and Sign Out.

The New sidebar entry is where you generate documentation from uploaded files; that workflow is covered in the product pages — see RapidDox overview. Everything else on this page covers the portal's account, billing, and download surface.

Manage Profile

Open Manage Profile from the user menu in the top-right. You can edit:

FieldDescription
First NameYour given name.
Last NameYour family name.
Company NameYour organisation. This value can be used as the default company name on generated documents.
Profile PictureUpload an image to show in the user menu.

Email Address is shown but read-only — your email is the account identifier and can't be changed from the portal. Contact support@rapiddox.com if you need to change the email on your account.

Change Password

Password changes happen inside Manage Profile. Enter your current password, then your new password. Each field has a show/hide toggle so you can verify what you've typed. The portal enforces these rules on the new password:

  • At least one letter
  • At least one capital letter
  • At least one number
  • At least 8 characters

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds a second step to your login: after entering your password, you also enter a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone. Enable or disable 2FA using the toggle in Manage Profile.

When you turn 2FA on, the portal shows you:

  • A QR code you scan with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.).
  • The manual secret key as a fallback if you can't scan the QR code.
  • A 6-digit verification field to confirm your authenticator is set up correctly.

Enabling 2FA logs you out so the next sign-in enforces the new flow. From then on, every login asks for the 6-digit code in addition to your password.

License & Billing — Overview

The License & Billing tab in the top header is where all subscription and billing activity happens. Each RapidDox product has its own tab:

  • RapidDox for Tableau
  • RapidDox for Power BI
  • Rapid BI Catalog

For each product you've subscribed to, the tab shows:

  • Plan name
  • Subscription start date
  • Subscription expiry date
  • Auto-renewal status (active, paused, or off)

Subscription Actions

From each product's tab you can take the following actions:

ActionWhat it does
PauseTurns off auto-renewal. Your subscription stays active through the current paid period — see the info card below.
ResumeReactivates a paused subscription. Behaviour depends on timing (see info card below).
CancelEnds the subscription. Existing invoices and payment history are preserved.
Switch planChange tier (Standard / Agency / Enterprise) or billing cadence (one-time / monthly / yearly). Mid-cycle changes are prorated.
Start a trialStart a free trial of a RapidDox product you don't yet hold — directly from the portal.
How pausing a subscription works
Pausing turns off auto-renewal — it does not end your subscription immediately. Your subscription stays active for the remainder of the current billing period you've already paid for, and the desktop application continues to work normally until then.
  • Resume before the billing period ends — your subscription continues on its original cycle, with no change to the renewal date.
  • Resume after the billing period ends — a new subscription cycle starts from the day you resume, and you're charged the corresponding amount on that date.

Payment Card

Each subscription tab shows the last four digits and expiry of the card on file. You can update it at any time through a secure Edit-card modal. If a renewal payment fails, the portal displays a banner with a one-click path to update your card. If no card is saved, you'll see an Add card prompt so future auto-renewals have a payment method to use.

Coupon Codes

Coupon codes can be applied at checkout — The portal validates the code against the active price and shows the adjusted total before you confirm.

Payment History

The portal keeps a running record of every payment on your account. The payment history table shows:

  • Receipt Number
  • Payment Date
  • Amount
  • Product Name
  • Plan
  • View Receipt — opens the formatted invoice for download or printing

Downloads

Each product tab has its own download section. The portal always serves the latest version, and three platform builds are available per product:

  • Windows.exe installer
  • macOS Intel — for Intel-based Macs
  • macOS Apple Silicon — for Apple Silicon Macs

If your subscription has expired, the download buttons are replaced with a Renew to download message. Renew or reactivate the subscription to restore access.

Updating to a new version
Download the latest installer from the portal and run it over the existing installation. Your settings and licence are preserved during the update.

Global Documentation Defaults (Settings tab)

The Settings entry in the sidebar holds global documentation defaults (such as company name, logo, header, footer, and center footer) that are applied to every document RapidDox generates — unless you override them in the per-document customisation wizard. For the field-by-field customisation wizard, see Customise — Tableau Workbook & Data Source and Customise — Tableau Prep.

News

The News tab surfaces product announcements and release notes. When there's a new item, a modal pops up the next time you log in so you don't miss it.

Support

The Support tab has a form where you can submit a ticket (with screenshots). You can also email support@rapiddox.com directly.
