Installation
Download the installer from your purchase confirmation email or from the customer portal at app.rapidlens.com.

- Run the installer and follow the prompts.
- Launch RapidDox from the Start Menu (Windows) or Applications folder (macOS).
- Sign in with the email and password used when purchasing.
Licence validation requires internet
RapidDox contacts app.rapidlens.com on startup. If behind a firewall, whitelist
app.rapidlens.com — the app will not start without a successful licence check.Opening BI Files
Use Open File or drag-and-drop to load a file. Supported:
- Tableau:
.twb.twbx.tds.tdsx.tfl.tflx - Power BI:
.pbix.pbit
Generating Documentation
- Open the BI file in RapidDox.
- Select the output format (PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, or HTML).
- Choose the output folder.
- Click Generate.
The output file is named after the source file — for example, Sales Dashboard.twbx produces Sales Dashboard Documentation.pdf in the output folder.
Keeping the App Updated
RapidDox shows a clear in-app message whenever a new update is available.
- Minor updates — installed automatically.
- Major updates — download the new installer from the customer portal at app.rapidlens.com and run it over the existing installation to update.
