The Settings tab is where you save the company name, logo, and header / footer text that should appear on every document RapidDox generates. Filling it in is optional, but doing it once here means every document you produce carries this branding automatically — without you having to enter it each time.
Defaults applied to every generated document
The five fields below print straight onto the output: Company Name and Logo appear on the cover page and document header; the three header / footer fields appear on every page of the running document. Values saved here are applied on every export; you can still override any of them per-document inside the customisation wizard before generating.
| Field | Type | Where it appears in the generated document |
|---|---|---|
| Company Name | Text | Cover page and document header. |
| Choose Logo | Image upload (jpg, jpeg, png) | Cover page. |
| Include Header | Text | Running header on every page. |
| Include Footer | Text | Bottom-of-page footer. |
| Include Center Footer | Text | Additional centred footer line. |
To override any of these values for a single document, change them in the customisation wizard before exporting — see Customise — Tableau Workbook & Data Source, Customise — Tableau Prep, or Customise — Power BI.
Saving your settings
Click Save to persist the values against your account. A "Setting Saved Successfully!" confirmation appears briefly. Saved settings are tied to your sign-in, so they follow you across machines — every document you generate after sign-in carries these defaults automatically.
Enable Error Logging
Turn this on if you need to reproduce a bug for support. When enabled, the app records debug-level diagnostics that the support team can use to trace the issue. See Troubleshooting & Support Logs for the full procedure — enabling logging, finding the rapiddox.log file on disk, and sending it to support.
Reset App
Reset App clears the desktop app's local cache and reloads the window. It's a handy first thing to try if the app gets into an odd state.
What gets cleared:
- You're signed out.
- The app's local state is reset to a fresh state.
What's untouched:
- Your saved Settings.
